TABARES NAMED TO LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE OF ARIZONA BANKRUPTCY INN OF COURT
Celeste del Carmen Tabares of Engelman Berger has been appointed to the program committee of the Arizona Bankruptcy American Inn of Court (ABAIC), an organization that fosters excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility and legal skills within the Arizona bankruptcy law community.
Tabares’ involvement continues a robust legacy for the firm with the ABAIC, as firm partner Steven N. Berger was a charter member and founding vice president, and attorneys from the firm have served in leadership roles for many years. “The ABAIC is known for its innovative programs that encourage collaboration, continuing legal education, and the sharing of best practices among its members,” noted Berger, “but, just as importantly, it is committed to providing opportunities and sponsorships for younger members of the legal profession, and services to the less fortunate in our communities.
As a member of the program committee, Tabares will help guide the Inn's instructional efforts, ensuring that it remains a vital resource for legal professionals throughout the state.
At Engelman Berger, Tabares works within the Creditor’s Rights and Litigation practice groups. She joined the firm after working with the Tenants Eviction Assistance Project for the City of Phoenix during the COVID-19 pandemic. Born and raised in Flagstaff, Arizona, Tabares is committed to using her legal skills to serve her community. She is fluent in Spanish.
The Inns of Court first started in England in the Middle Ages and were devoted to the technical study of the law. The American Inns of Court were founded in 1977 by Chief Justice Warren E. Burger to provide training, education, and fellowship programs for lawyers, judges, and law students. Today, the American Inns of Court have over 300 Inns – or chapters - across the United States that serve some 30,000 members. The ABAIC was established in 2011.
