ENGELMAN BERGER WORKS TO KEEP PHOENIX BEAUTIFUL
Engelman Berger staff members recently took time out of the office to dedicate a day of work for “Keep Phoenix Beautiful,” an organization that fosters volunteer experiences to clean areas of the city and, in effect, improve neighborhoods and quality of life.
The firm marks the anniversary of its founding each year with a “Social Services Day,” where employees have the opportunity to take part in a community service event. On this, its 26th anniversary, a group of attorneys and staff members gathered at Mountain View Park Community Garden in Phoenix for cleaning, planting and improvements.
“Our outing for Keep Phoenix Beautiful wasn't just about picking up litter,” said attorney Amanda Carrizales, a member of the event’s planning committee, which also included Tami Lewis, Lydia Miller, Andew O’Keefe, Audrey Sinclair and Celeste Tabares. “It was about investing in the health and vibrancy of the city that supports our business and our families. A thriving community benefits everyone, and it starts with each of us taking ownership and lending a hand."
Keep Phoenix Beautiful fosters a number of services to further its mission: it maintains two community gardens in the city; it hosts recycling and planting events throughout the year; it provides clean-up kits for individual use; and sends representatives into the community to educate schools, businesses and community groups.
