Attorney Bill Anger Presentation on Water Rights

Bill Anger was one of a select group of speakers at the 2018 Annual Appraisal & Property Tax Seminar for the Arizona Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) on August 15th. Bill presented on the topic of “Water Rights & Valuation.” In his presentation, he addressed the following topics: water right valuation factors, Arizona appropriable surface water and percolating groundwater law, and examples of water rights and related property valuation. Bill works closely with water providers, developers, homeowners’ associations, financial institutions and other entities and landowners, assisting them with regulatory compliance under the Arizona Groundwater Code and surface water laws; securing, purchasing and leasing water rights; water service agreements; shared well agreements; and various water rights litigation including the Gila River and Little Colorado general stream adjudications.

IAAO is a nonprofit, educational, and research association. It is a professional membership organization of government assessment officials and others interested in the administration of property tax. IAAO was founded in 1934, and now has a membership of more than 7,000 governmental, business, and academic community members worldwide.
