KATIE E. BIEN is passionate about innovative leadership, business development, operations, marketing, and recruiting. As our Legal Administrator, Katie empowers our lawyers to manage and grow their practice through a client service focused perspective. She supports our administrative and legal support staff through open communication and development. Born and raised in Phoenix, Katie has a passion for our unique business climate and when not in the office she is outside enjoying our desert lifestyle.
ANDREW C. LOVATO is responsible for ensuring our clients have the best experience possible with our firm, as our Client Service Coordinator. Andrew was born in Glendale, Arizona and attended Phoenix College. His hobbies include playing video games and watching TV shows and movies. Andrew also enjoys traveling to urban environments such as Chicago and New York. Andrew enjoys working in the legal field and gaining experience working in a variety of areas.
MARIA M. RAMIREZ has lived in Arizona since 1989, after having moved to the United States as a small child from Romania. Maria joined Engelman Berger in 2004 while working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Global Business from Arizona State University, and has since become an invaluable part of the EB team. Prior to joining our firm, Maria worked for the Arizona State Governor’s Office. When not at work, Maria enjoys spending time with her growing family and being outdoors.
TAYLOR N. ROSENOW graduated from the University of Arizona Honors College in Spring 2018 with two Bachelor’s Degrees, one in Political Science and one in Law. She is currently working with Engelman Berger as our File Clerk for a year, before she heads off to law school. Taylor was born in Phoenix, Arizona and enjoys spending her free time reading, sketching, and playing the piano or guitar. During college, she did research for a professor at the University of Arizona Law School which gave her great experience and provided her with a hands-on learning experience. Taylor also worked for our late Senator John McCain. Philanthropy work is very important to Taylor, and she has been a part of many volunteer projects. She was part of the University of Arizona “I Will” campaign, helping to combat stereotypes around sexual assault and recognizing rape culture as an issue that impacts people of all identities. Taylor also volunteered for “Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse” which is the largest provider of domestic abuse prevention services and programs in Southern Arizona. She has also volunteered for the Saint Mary’s food bank for many years and participated in Habitat for Humanity one summer. After law school, Taylor’s goal is to work in the Human Rights section of the United Nations.
GRACE C. TASKINSOY joined EB in 2018 as our virtual Social Media and Marketing Coordinator. Grace helps us share all of the exciting things we have going on around the office through our website and social media platforms. Check them out by clicking on the links above. We are very lucky to also have Grace providing Reception and Administrative support during the Summer of 2018. Grace was born and raised in Arizona and is currently a student at the University of Arizona (online) while living in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California. She is majoring in Law. Grace loves the outdoors: hiking Camelback Mountain, jogging through the valleys of San Luis Obispo, and walking along the great Pacific Ocean.

HEIDI A. is one of our Legal Assistants and has worked in law firms for over 20 years. Some time ago, Heidi left Minnesota for the warmer temperatures of Arizona.

KATHRYN E. HARDY brings over 24 years of experience and paralegal expertise to our office, having worked in a wide range of practice areas in both California and Arizona. Kathryn is a litigation specialist and has worked in the areas of bankruptcy litigation, civil and commercial litigation, media and constitutional law, white-collar defense, creditor representation, and intellectual property law. Born and raised in Virginia, Kathryn attended the University of Virginia where she received her bachelor’s degree in Communications. She then went on to obtain her post-baccalaureate Paralegal Specialist Certificate in Litigation from the University of West Los Angeles School of Paralegal Studies. In her free time, Kathryn enjoys reading and embracing her inner avid-sports fan by watching competitive sports, particularly basketball.

JOAN L. HUBBERT brings decades of public finance experience to Engelman Berger, having worked with a number of firms in both her home state of New Jersey as well as Arizona. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a Finance concentration from Rutgers University and her Paralegal Certificate from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

MARIE K. KELLY has been working with EB since the firm was founded in 1999, and currently supports our lawyers as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. Having worked in law firms for over three decades, Marie’s vast experience includes a variety of support roles such as Legal Assistant, Paralegal, and Office Administrator. Marie is originally from the Chicago area, but escaped the sub-zero temperatures several years ago when she moved to Arizona. Marie enjoys spending free time with her husband, and trying to keep up with her two teenagers.
Marie works closely with: Bill Anger, Patrick Clisham, Scott Cohen, and Kurt Peterson.
PAUL A. MANLEY was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and moved to Phoenix in 2011. He brings with him more than 12 years of experience in the legal industry. Some of that experience comes from time he spent working as an Officer for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, a Contracts Manager with the State of Arizona, and numerous smaller boutique firms. Paul has volunteered his time at the YMCA in Tucson, Arizona, and hopes to volunteer for his local animal shelter. In his free time, Paul enjoys hiking, traveling (often internationally) with his wife and friends, going to the gym, playing with his dogs, and attending networking events throughout the year.

LISA G. MORGAN brings over thirty years of experience as a Legal Assistant to the EB team. Lisa has worked at larger firms in the Valley, in a variety of practice areas including commercial, real estate, tax, corporate transactions, and government affairs. She takes great pride in her work product and when not working, spends time with her teenage boys and husband.

CYNTHIA D. NESSELRODE was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Arizona in 2002. Her prior experience was in the medical field, but Cynthia discovered she had an exceptional talent for organization and detail, and a particular passion for the law. Cynthia has recently moved into a Legal Assistant role, where she supports our lawyers and also maintains some office administrative responsibility. When not at work, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. “Nothing beats family!”

CINDY K. SOLOMON, CP is a Certified Paralegal with more than 25 years of experience in litigation, commercial bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, real property trustee’s sales, and collections. She is experienced in civil litigation at the federal and state levels, including recent e-discovery issues. In real property issues, Cindy’s expertise spans the areas of trustee’s sales, chain of title analysis, and title insurance issues. She has assisted in judgment enforcement, UCC sales, provisional remedies, and asset recovery analysis. Cindy’s extensive bankruptcy trial experience includes the preparation of electronic exhibits during witness testimony. In 1999, Cindy received her paralegal certification through the National Association of Legal Assistants.
