KATIE E. BIEN is passionate about innovative leadership, business development, operations, marketing, and recruiting. As our Legal Administrator, Katie empowers our lawyers to manage and grow their practice through a client service focused perspective. She supports our administrative and legal support staff through open communication and development. Born and raised in Phoenix, Katie has a passion for our unique business climate and when not in the office she is outside enjoying our desert lifestyle.
MARIA M. RAMIREZ has lived in Arizona since 1989, after having moved to the United States as a small child from Romania. Maria joined Engelman Berger in 2004 while working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Global Business from Arizona State University, and has since become an invaluable part of the EB team. Prior to joining our firm, Maria worked for the Arizona State Governor’s Office. When not at work, Maria enjoys spending time with her growing family and being outdoors.

HEIDI A. is one of our Legal Assistants and has worked in law firms for over 20 years. Some time ago, Heidi left Minnesota for the warmer temperatures of Arizona.

PAUL A. MANLEY was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and moved to Phoenix in 2011. He brings with him more than 12 years of experience in the legal industry. Some of that experience comes from time he spent working as an Officer for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, a Contracts Manager with the State of Arizona, and numerous smaller boutique firms. Paul has volunteered his time at the YMCA in Tucson, Arizona, and hopes to volunteer for his local animal shelter. In his free time, Paul enjoys hiking, traveling (often internationally) with his wife and friends, going to the gym, playing with his dogs, and attending networking events throughout the year.

LISA G. MORGAN brings over thirty years of experience as a Legal Assistant to the EB team. Lisa has worked at larger firms in the Valley, in a variety of practice areas including commercial, real estate, tax, corporate transactions, and government affairs. She takes great pride in her work product and when not working, spends time with her teenage boys and husband.

CYNTHIA D. NESSELRODE was born and raised in Los Angeles and moved to Arizona in 2002. Her prior experience was in the medical field, but Cynthia discovered she had an exceptional talent for organization and detail, and a particular passion for the law. Cynthia has recently moved into a Legal Assistant role, where she supports our lawyers and also maintains some office administrative responsibility. When not at work, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. “Nothing beats family!”

CINDY K. SOLOMON, CP is a Certified Paralegal with more than 25 years of experience in litigation, commercial bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, real property trustee’s sales, and collections. She is experienced in civil litigation at the federal and state levels, including recent e-discovery issues. In real property issues, Cindy’s expertise spans the areas of trustee’s sales, chain of title analysis, and title insurance issues. She has assisted in judgment enforcement, UCC sales, provisional remedies, and asset recovery analysis. Cindy’s extensive bankruptcy trial experience includes the preparation of electronic exhibits during witness testimony. In 1999, Cindy received her paralegal certification through the National Association of Legal Assistants.
