Engelman Berger Wishes you a Safe and Reflective Memorial Day

Engelman Berger would like to wish you a safe and reflective Memorial Day. We hope you enjoy the holiday weekend and also hope that you have a chance to pause and remember the more than 1.3 million Americans who have died while serving in our country’s armed forces.

Memorial Day is a national American holiday that honors the men and women in the U.S. military who lost their lives serving our country. Memorial Day was first known as “Decoration Day” and was established a few years after the Civil War. It became an official federal holiday in 1971. Many individuals, families, friends, etc. visit cemeteries or memorials to honor those who served but did not come home alive.

“Aid to Adoption of Special Kids” (AASK) connects children in Arizona’s foster care system with foster families, adoptive families, siblings, kin, and adult mentors. Engelman Berger would like to wish our legal assistants, paralegals, and administrative support professionals a Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

Engelman Berger would like to wish our legal assistants, paralegals, and administrative support professionals a Happy Administrative Professionals Day! Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to making EB a great place to work. We could not provide top notch client service without you!

A little history behind this holiday: In 1952, Harry F. Klemfuss, who handled the Dictaphone Corporation account for an advertising agency, thought secretaries deserved more recognition and wanted to encourage more people to consider entering the profession. He teamed with the National Secretaries Association, now the International Association of Administrative Professionals, and worked to persuade the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to proclaim a day in which administrative professionals are honored for the important role they play in the success of companies throughout the United States. Thank you for your leadership, Mr. Klemfuss.
