BERGER AGAIN NAMED AZ “TOP 100” LAWYER

Steven N. Berger of Engelman Berger has been named one of Arizona’s Top 100 Lawyers for 2025 by Az Business magazine. This annual directory identifies influential legal professionals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact within Arizona’s legal community. 2025 marks the tenth straight year that Berger has been included on the list.

“It’s not easy to become one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona,” noted Editor-in-Chief Michael Gossie. “It takes the ability to innovate, adapt, and lead—in an industry filled with brilliant innovators who are exceptional leaders.”

Berger was honored for his work in bankruptcy and reorganization law, a practice area in which he has built a distinguished career spanning nearly 40 years.

Offering advice to young attorneys in the article, Berger emphasized the importance of authenticity in career development. “I encourage those entering their profession or the business world to find what they love to do and do it your way,” he said. “At the beginning of a career, it’s tempting to ‘copy and paste’ from those who came before you. If you chart your own course, you will learn more, be more engaged, and enjoy a successful journey.”

As a co-founder of Engelman Berger, he has represented lenders, creditors, investors, and business owners in complex commercial disputes, earning a reputation for strategic problem-solving and effective resolution.

The Az Business editorial board selects the Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona each year using a process that evaluates professional ratings, client reviews, and impact on both the legal profession and the broader community.
