Steven Berger was first recognized by SuperLawyers in 2007, and has been named one of the Top 50 Lawyers in Arizona every year since 2009. Steve co-founded Engelman Berger in 1999 after gaining experience as an associate and partner at two of Arizona’s largest law firms. He has extensive experience in representing parties involved with troubled loans or troubled businesses, and has represented lenders, lessors, business owners, investors, asset purchasers, creditor committees, and other parties in bankruptcy and reorganization cases.

Scott Cohen was selected to Super Lawyers for 2008, 2013 - 2024. Scott represents banks, lenders, landlords, guarantors, committees, and other creditors in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights matters, loan workouts, business turnarounds, Chapter 11 reorganizations, receiverships, bankruptcy litigation, and commercial litigation. Scott’s practice includes representing lending institutions in preparing custom loan documents and credit facilities. He assists lender clients in the entire life cycle of a loan from due diligence to enforcing defaults. He regularly appears in U.S. Bankruptcy Court and state court proceedings involving liquidations, Chapter 11 reorganizations, receiverships, and commercial lawsuits.

Patrick Clisham was a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star in 2012, and since has been selected as a SuperLawyer every year since 2019. Patrick has extensive experience representing clients in corporate financings, restructurings and reorganizations. Patrick’s experience primarily derives from representing distressed businesses, banks, secured and unsecured creditors, strategic buyers, and trustees in both complex chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings and out of court deals. Patrick joined Engelman Berger in 2009 after relocating from Chicago. His prior practice experience includes more than five years with a Chicago-based nationally recognized reorganization practice where he primarily represented a spectrum of corporate debtors in bankruptcy, including in the fields of retail, manufacturing, and real estate development.

Damien Meyer was first recognized as a SuperLawyers Rising Star from 2012-17, and has been selected as a SuperLawyer since 2021. Damien has extensive experience in representing both individuals and businesses including banks, contractors, landlords, real estate developers, aviation companies, entrepreneurs, and healthcare companies in all areas of their business including contractual analysis and disputes, procurement, collection and payment disputes, commercial tort liability, provisional remedies and negotiation of pre-litigation disputes to avoid formal litigation. He also has extensive experience in representing clients in formal litigation in Arizona State and Federal courts, the Arizona Court of Appeals, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, in private arbitrations, and before several state administrative agencies.

Bradley Pack was a Rising Star from 2012 - 2020, and then made the transition to being selected as a Super Lawyer in 2021, where he has remained ever since. His practice focuses on the representation of both creditors and debtors in Chapter 11 bankruptcies, receiverships, and complex loan workouts. Bradley also represents lending institutions and small and medium-sized businesses in commercial litigation matters concerning business loan and contract disputes. In addition, he has successfully represented litigants in appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and the Arizona Court of Appeals. As an undergraduate, Brad worked on international child labor issues while interning for the AFL-CIO American Center for International Labor Solidarity.
